1. Program description

MORnet text messaging is a customer service program operated by MORnet Communications, LLC ("MORnet," "we," "us," "our"), 728 N Scenic Highway, Lake Wales, FL 33853, for its own internet, voice, and low-voltage customers. It has two parts.

Support text line. A two-way customer care conversation with the MORnet support team on (863) 215-8278. It starts when you text that number, or when you ask a MORnet representative to text you. Messages on the support line are limited to:

• Replies to the questions and service requests you send us, including troubleshooting help
• Scheduling, confirming, and updating technician visits
• Follow-up about your account, your bill, or a payment arrangement you asked about
• Notice of a service interruption or restoration that affects an open request

Replies may come from a MORnet team member or from our automated assistant, which can answer at any hour. You can ask for a person at any time. Before we discuss account or billing details by text, we confirm that we are talking with the account holder.

Outage Text Alerts. When our network monitoring detects a service interruption affecting the tower or area that serves your location, the program sends an automated text message to the mobile number you enrolled. Messages under Outage Text Alerts are limited to:

• Notice that we have detected a service interruption affecting your area and are working on it
• Notice that service in your area has been restored
• Advance notice of planned maintenance that will briefly affect your connection

Neither part of this program sends marketing or promotional messages. Outage Text Alerts are automated service notices. If you need help, reply to the support text line or call (863) 678-9910.

2. How to opt in

Support text line, by texting us. You opt in by sending a text message to (863) 215-8278. The first reply you receive is:

Support text line, by asking a representative. You may also give express consent to a MORnet representative in person, in writing, or by telephone, for example when you call (863) 678-9910 and ask for updates by text. Before recording your consent the representative asks:

We record how and when consent was given, and by whom, on your customer record before the first message is sent; our system will not send a first message to a number without a recorded consent. You then receive:

Outage Text Alerts. You may enroll a mobile number by completing the sign-up form at mornet.zone/text-alerts, entering your mobile number and checking the consent box, or by giving express consent to a MORnet representative in person, in writing, or by telephone after these disclosures have been provided to you.

The consent checkbox on the form is optional and unchecked by default; you are enrolled only if you check it yourself. The form can be sent without checking the box and without a mobile number, in which case we keep your contact details and do not text you. Consent is not a condition of purchase and is not required in order to receive internet service from MORnet. You may only enroll a mobile number that belongs to you or that you are authorized to enroll, and you must be at least 18 years of age or have the permission of the account holder.

3. How to opt out

You may cancel at any time. Reply STOP to any message you receive from us, on the support text line or from Outage Text Alerts. You may also reply END, QUIT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE. After you send one of these keywords we will send a single confirmation message and then no further messages will be sent to that number under this program.

You may also opt out using the opt-out form, by calling (863) 678-9910, or by emailing [email protected]. To re-subscribe, reply START to a previous message or sign up again on this website. A few times a year we may remind people who text our support line that STOP opts them out.

Opting out of text messages does not affect your internet service, your bill, or any other way MORnet may contact you. Notices required by law or by your service agreement will still be delivered by mail, telephone, or email.

5. Message frequency

Message frequency varies. On the support text line it depends on your conversation with us: we reply to the messages you send and follow up on requests you have open. For Outage Text Alerts it depends on network conditions in your area. In most months you will receive between zero and four alerts. During a major weather event or an extended outage you may receive more, as we send an alert when the interruption is detected and another when it is restored.

6. Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply. MORnet does not charge for this program, but your mobile carrier's standard messaging and data rates apply to every message you receive from us or send to us. Contact your carrier for details about your plan.

7. Originating number

Messages are sent from a MORnet Communications business telephone number registered for this program. The number is identified in your opt-in confirmation message, or it is the support line number you texted. If you receive a message from someone claiming to be MORnet and you are unsure whether it is genuine, do not reply; call (863) 678-9910 and ask.

8. Supported carriers and delivery

This program is supported by the major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, Verizon Wireless, T-Mobile, US Cellular, and their affiliates and resellers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Message delivery is subject to effective transmission by your wireless carrier and is not guaranteed.

Text alerts are not a substitute for reporting a problem. If your service is down and you have not received an alert, call (863) 678-9910 or sign in at my.mornet.zone. In an emergency call 911.

9. Privacy

Your mobile number, your consent record, and the messages you exchange with us are used only to operate this program, to serve your account, and to demonstrate, if required, that you consented to receive these messages. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors for support services, such as the messaging carrier that transmits the messages and the service providers that help us answer them, is permitted only to deliver the messages you opted in to and to respond to your requests. All other categories of use and sharing exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. See our full Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date above reflects the current version. Material changes will be posted on this page, and continued enrollment after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
